"Attending the BACC event on June 6th was a true pleasure. I had an opportunity to meet, network and establish new business relationships with wonderful folks from all around Orlando. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. The presentation on immigration was also interesting and informative! Looking forward to attending future events."

"The BACC Takes Flight at The Vineyard earlier this month was one of the best networking events I have attended since moving to Orlando. The attendees were a diverse and interactive group which made it easy to make new connections. Thanks again for inviting me and I hope to become a member of the BACC very soon!"

"Early this June, I was invited by a BACC Member and COO of Orlando-based Red Meters to attend “The American Dream Lives!”, an event hosted by The British-American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida. I readily accepted the invitation, as I recently relocated from California to Central Florida and therefore jumped at the opportunity to meet and learn from local professionals who are part of an immigrant-run organization.
The evening event was held at the cozy Mama Louise Restaurant and was enriched by live piano music, pastas, salads, and drinks. After an hour or so of getting acquainted and acclimated, the diverse crowd of several dozen was treated to an in-depth presentation by former U.S. Foreign Service Officer with the Dept. of State, Ramin Asgard. Mr. Asgard delivered a concise history of the various roles and influences immigration has had on our country. He applied valuable historical insights to our current state of affairs, tying in vital political, economic and educational factors. I was left with a surprisingly deeper understanding of the complexity of “immigration”, a polarizing and misunderstood topic so often debated using sweeping generalizations and buzz words.
Following this presentation, attendees mingled as the pianist resumed. I met and connected with several BACC members and guests, all of whom were more than happy to explain their business and experience in the Central Florida marketplace. I was introduced to newly appointed BACC President, Nick Grounds, who openly described his background, vision and excitement for the organization.
I was very pleased by the experience. It is clear to me that BACC and its members are dedicated to enhancing cultural assimilation, local economic development and global commerce. I experienced a balance of admirable English heritage and patriotic American ambition. I will certainly offer continued support of The British American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, and I look forward to taking part in more events when opportunities arise."
